MONSTA X's I.M signs with Sony Music Entertainment Korea

On November 15, Sony Music Entertainment Korea said, "We recently signed an exclusive contract with MONSTA X member I.M."

Earlier on November 14, Sony Music Entertainment Korea announced the recruitment of new artists by posting a photo on its official SNS with the words "NEW ARTIST. 2022.11.16 WEDNESDAY (KST)." Fans who recognized that the silhouette in the released photo was I.M. expressed their expectations through comments.

I.M debuted as a member of boy group MONSTA X in 2015. He left Starship Entertainment in August due to the expiration of his contract. Except for I.M, MONSTA X's five members (Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, and Jooheon) renewed their contracts with their current agencies Starship Entertainment. However, I.M agreed to continue group activities.
