According to NHK and other Japanese medias on November 16, K-pop's girl group TWICE, IVE, and LE SSERAFIM will appear at "73rd Red and White Song Festival" which will be held at NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 31.
TWICE, who have great popularity in Japan, is making their fourth appearance in the "Red and White Song Festival." IVE and LE SSERAFIM, who debuted in Korea at the end of last year and May this year, will appear for the first time. In particular, IVE confirmed the appearance a month after their official debut in Japan, and LE SSERAFIM confirmed the appearance even before their official debut in Japan.
IVE and LE SSERAFIM include members from the Korea-Japan project group "IZ*ONE," which gain popularity not only in Korea but also in Japan. They are IVE's An Yu-jin and Jang Won-young, and LE SSERAFIM's Sakura and Kim Chae-won. In addition, the two teams include Japanese members, IVE's Rei and LE SSERAFIM's Kazuha.
Along with this, JYP Entertainment's girl group NiziU will appear for the third time this time. The group JO1, which belongs to LAPONE Entertainment, a joint company between CJ ENM in Korea and Yoshimoto in Japan, will appear in "Red and White Song Festival" for the first time.
"Red and White Song Festival" is a year-end program that airs on NHK every December 31.
